Mother’s Day Silhoutte

Mother’s Day Silhoutte

I saw this idea a while ago over on Prudent Baby and tucked it away in the back of my head to use for Mother’s Day.The ladies over on Prudent Baby used the idea to make artwork from pics of Zoo animals, but I thought it might be a fun and different way to do the silhouette of Emma that I am trying to give to my mom each Mother’s Day. It turned out to be pretty easy (and fun!…

oooo, cute!

oooo, cute!

Crate and Barrel just put these fabric napkins in their Sale section. I just love the pops of color! At $5.50 they aren’t much cheaper than the original price, but it would be fun to have one or two to line chip and roll baskets with this summer. :)

Emma just found that she can “hide” from me when we are playing by standing – get this – behind me. Silly girl!!!

John had to work on Sunday, a little earlier and longer than he had planned, so Emma and I stayed home from church.Because we stayed home I didn’t get out to do the errands done that I had planned to do with Emma on Sunday while we waited for him to get off work. I finished reading A Life That Says Welcome yesterday, just in time to return it to the library. :) It has been a good book, encouraging and thought provoking. A Life That Says Welcome, by Karen Ehman As she wrapped up the book Karen Ehman said,“I need to keep a quiet heart. To trust that if God has allowed an interruption in my day, it serves a purpose. To believe that the time to finish what work I thought needed…

"nesting"

"nesting"

I suppose I am officially in the “nesting” stage of pregnancy. Projects that I have been meaning to get done for, well, for a long time are getting crossed of the list. It’s so nice to see some of these things get done! On Friday evening I finally finished the bed skirt for our bed. (You can see how over on the market blog) We had a bed skirt that came with our duvet cover, but it was the kind…
