home again
Our morning glory plant bloomed for the first time just before we left for Indianapolis, and I snapped a picture as John was loading up the car. It was so lovely and happy looking.
John, Emma and I are now home and getting back into the swing of everyday life. It won’t slow down very much (if at all), but will continue to hurtle along at a swift pace. I’ll try to keep you posted as things happen.
This week we are packing up boxes and deciding which bits of “clutter” to get rid of. And in two more weeks we will be moving into a new apartment and have a new address (if you want it, please let me know and I’ll add your name to the list of emails that we will be sending out).
p.s. I’ll try to put up some pictures from the wedding week soon.

good morning!
California here I come!
first ride in the front pack
this may the best thing we have bought for Emma so far (other than the car seat/stroller, of course). It is wonderful! Emma loves, John loves it, I love it ………. yes, the entire family LOVES this carrier.
We bought the Snugli “Hug” and are enjoying being able to carry Emma hands-free. Emma is enjoying being able to take in the world. The world is enjoying being able to see Emma’s range of expressions (most of which include smiles of some sort).
praying for my … neighbors
Yesterday John and I watched a slip of paper slide through the space between our door and the jam. It was a notice from the apartment management stating that there had been a complaint of domestic disturbance and arguing coming from our apartment.
I felt terrible.
Not because we are guilty (John and I have NEVER raised our voices toward each other {that is, unless you count “watch out!”} and I never use absolutes unless they are absolutely true. Ever) but because they felt that they had to complain about us.
I don’t think that anyone has ever done that about me (to my knowledge, except for siblings). And now that it has happened, it really hurts.
I now know the wisdom behind the “go first to the one who offends you” instruction in the Bible. There is no way for us to apologize or try to make our wrong right (or even know our wrong) with our neighbors. Except pray for them.
So today I have been praying that we would be a blessing to them during the rest of the time we are their neighbors, that we would be light to them.
Have any of you experienced this? Do you have any wisdom to offer?
