Hmmm. Maybe Ben was thinking of the Bush family …. All those similar names can get confusing!
And, in further news, Ben has declared himself to be “roll-able”. He was helping Mom clean the garage and found an old pair of roller skates. Now Ben is in the kitchen, sitting on his heels and scooting around. He doesn’t have a care in the world!
Ben just came running in from playing with Julia. He announced, “I need a gun! We are soldiers and we need to offend ourselves!” as he was running toward his room.
Anna got a hair cut today (the picture doesn’t do it justice).
It is shorter and has more layers than before, and looks very cute, and a bit edgy.
We were critiquing it at the dinner table, and Julia said:
“I think it would look better if you brushed it a bit.”
Anna replied with:
“Then it wouldn’t be avante garde. Don’t you like my happy heaps?”
Ben: “Daniel, do you got a girl?”
Daniel: “No, but you would probably be the first one to know about it!”
Ben: “What kinda girl do ya want?
Julia: “One that can cook!”
Dad: “One that can fix broken heads.”
Daniel has yet to answer ….

I can see it now: Jo(h)n – in his cuff links and bow tie – and Liz – in her evening gown and pearls – at Binky Burger. A little out of place perhaps, but special none the less. After all, isn’t that the kind of thing memories are made of? :-)
